Projector for Lorain
Baptist Church Planters was asked by Fellowship Baptist Church of Lorain, OH, to contract with them as a rescue work. They could not support a pastor and keep the doors open. Being the only Regular Baptist church in the city of Lorain, BCP was passionate about helping. Church planters Orlando and Deb Collozo, currently on deputation to serve in a multicultural church plant, accepted the call to give leadership and vision to the dying church. One of the suggestions from BCP was to update the church’s technology to help people see this church as relevant in our culture. Funds were given from the mother church, First Baptist Church of Elryia, and from BCP’s funds designated for the Lorain work. Enough money was available to fund 2/3 of the project and to get it done in time for the Installation Service of the new missionary pastor on April 27, 2013. techPartner did the complete install of a 5500 lumens, short throw high definition projector and a large display monitor for the back wall. We trained some of the members how to use the new equipment and attended the installation service to make sure all went well. They have been using the new system and are enjoying the “high tech” (actual words from members) feature added to their older building. They will use these tools to continue teaching and reaching people in the city of Lorain. To God be the Glory, that we had the wisdom, strength and availability to help in this project. techPartner was also able to help BCP upgrade an existing (7years old) projector in the home office conference room. It was a basic swap out and took a total of about an hour to do that project. We are thankful for the people at www.projectorpeople.com that helped get us the right projector for the right price.
