| A note from Nathan Babcock - Africa 2011
The Trip to Ghana, Africa was an amazing opportunity to assist national pastors in their ministries. I answered a lot of questions and got many invites to return. On Wednesday afternoon I had a question and answer workshop that was set to run for about an hour. I answered questions about protecting computers from viruses, filtering the internet, recording church service, and many more questions. I spent the rest of the afternoon answering questions. I was able to fix a few of the pastors laptops that where not running properly. They where very happy to get there computers working properly again. On Thursday and Friday I began to giveaway the computers and projectors we had brought over with us. I had spent the week talking with pastors and listening to their needs and had decided who I thought could most use the equipment. Pastor David from Kenya received both a Projector and a Laptop. I had talked with him earlier in the week and had discovered that his church had been praying for almost a year that the Lord would supply a Projector and Laptop for use in training men for the ministry. Pastor Isaac from Ghana receive the second projector, his church had been praying for several months that they would have the funds to purchase a projector for use in ministering to the small rural farm villages. Pastor Happy from Togo received the second laptop, his laptop had died several months ago and he no longer had a way to create and print childrens church material. Overall the trip was a blessing to me and I pray that I was used to minister to the pastors that where in attendance at the conference. Thank you for your prayers and support.

A note from Chris Hindal - Director of GARBC International Ministries The All-African IPFBM Regional Conference convened in Accra, Ghana, October 4-7, 2011, with 40 representatives from four African nations plus Dr.Chatla from India and Chris Hindal from the GARBC. The purpose of this first African regional conference was to introduce partners to each other, creating an awareness of one another’s ministry and begin the collaborative process that will potentially lead to cooperative efforts. Nate Babcock, an IT intern at techPartners in Elyria, Ohio accompanied the Hindals to the conference. Nate provided the media support for the conference, monitoring the sound equipment, taping the sessions, setting up the PowerPoints and generally overseeing the technical aspects of the conference. Nate also contributed to the understanding of the nationals in the use of media in ministry. He responded to questions during a special Q & A session on that timely subject. Chris Hindal stated, “I really appreciate Nate’s expertise in these various areas as IT is so important to the whole field of communication. Without an IT expert at a conference like this, the effectiveness of the entire meeting stands in jeopardy. Thank you so much to those who contributed to the travel expense of Nate’s trip. Not only did it expand the horizons of a young and talented man, but it filled a great need and eased the mind of the organizer. The International Partnership of Fundamental Baptist Ministries, established in 1999, provides a platform where associations of independent Baptist churches can cooperate together based on doctrinal agreement, separation from apostasy and a commitment to the Great Commission. Currently 57 partnering associations representing 18 countries and 10,000 local churches are in various stages of the collaborative effort. Associations express encouragement when they discover partnering ministries with similar focus and facing common challenges. The partnership highlights the diversity of the body of Christ yet all are connected by the worldwide missionary challenge issued by its Head, Jesus Christ.
