Half way around the world….

to the IPFBM All India Region Conference (7800 miles), and now I am back home and excited to share with you what happened during my trip.   You can also see video blogs I uploaded during my trip at our website (http://techpartner.org/index.php/latest-news/chris-brown-updates/india-trip-2011 ), but I will recap here so you can read about it.

Highlights of the Trip:

  • Helped set up and facilitate all the technical part of the conference.
  • Met some amazing pastors and church leaders among the 75 individuals who attended the conference
  • Taught a workshop and interacted with the Indians about how they could use technology in their ministries
  • Recorded all the messages and uploaded them to www.ipfbmconnect.org for the partners to be able to listen to the messages again.
  • Gave out a 4gb usb drive that was loaded with materials and content to help each attendee in ministry (bible study software, books and tools). I am thankful for many different ministries that gave good resources to enable our brothers in India to have quality resources.

Gift for our International Partners

One of the objectives in going to India was to help our partners with some technology tools for ministry. I brought a laptop and a video projector (along with one I already had) to use during the conference, with the intention of giving them away after the conference to our Indian partners. All during the week I was praying that I would be able to discern who would be the best individuals or ministries to receive these tools.Several days into the conference I met Lhunsei Kipgen from Manipur state of India. He was sharing his ministry report and I was immediately convinced that he was the one to give the laptop to.   He works among native Manipur tribal people and they do not speak English. While helping with church planting he has understands the need to get discipleship and study tools in their native language. He started translating a book with permission, and hand wrote the entire book and borrowed a computer (much older system) to type all the writings in, and halfway into the book the computer crashed and he lost it all. He has finally completed the first book and has hand written two more to be typed and printed up to help the growing church there in Manipur.

We gave the video projectors to two different ministries, that both are so excited to have a video projector to enhance their outreach and training of men and women for ministry. I want to thank Emmanuel Baptist Church of Flint Michigan who helped cover the complete cost for the laptop and projector that we gave away.

Ministry Highlight:
Successfully added hundreds of hours to our new media training server to enable our ministry partners access to quality training content in all areas of church ministry. If you are a church planter/missionary/ministry leader and you need quality video training content, please contact us to enable you to access the variety of content we have to offer. We still have several resources to still make available.

Thanks for taking the time to read this email. It is our joy to serve the Lord in this ministry. Please contact us if you want more information. If you currently give to our ministry, we thank you for your faithfulness. If you are interested in supporting us, please contact us to learn how.
