Thanksgiving has come and gone and Christmas will be here before we know it. Then 2012 will hit and another year will be in the books for techPartner. I can’t thank our God and Savior enough for His indescribable gift of salvation. And if that wasn’t enough, He has given me the opportunity to serve Him with this ministry to the church globally with a focus on technology to help missions, ministries, and churches. I am excited about this year as we increase our staff and the resources we will be able to offer.
Ministry Highlights:
- Nathan Babcock is coming back to techPartner full time and will pursue this ministry as a place to serve the Lord with his talents and abilities.
- I met with Lance Harkleroad – Brooklyn Baptist Church, about the possibilities of an internship for 2012. He is a specialist in web coding and would help techPartner develop tools we have desired to complete. He will help remotely and continue to work part time to support himself. Mobilizing individuals to serve is a huge part of who techPartner is.
I did an hour seminar at a men’s conference on how to set up content filtering for your home internet connection. You can watch the HD Video recording of this seminar at our website http://techpartner.org/resources/video-internet-filter- I led a small group break out session on using technology in ministry at the North American Missions Congress (NAMC) in Indianapolis. We have helped many people in ministry from that meeting.
- I facilitated the entire audio and video for all the services for the NAMC. I am very thankful for Nathan Babcock and Brandon Kennedy for all the work they did to make this happen and help out in this way. You can listen to audio from each session at: www.techpartner.org/resources/namc
Family Highlights:
- Our family participated in our neighborhood Halloween candy giveaway. We didn’t just give out candy, but added a gospel tract along with it. We saw many of the kids curious about the tract.
- Kara’s volleyball season has ended and they did very well as a team. As much as she enjoyed it, she also learned a lot about people and priorities of life. I am thankful for her coach who had the right attitude toward sports and how it affects us.
- Lauryn (just turned 11)invited our neighbor girl to our Wednesday night kids club, and has returned several times now, and is even memorizing verses. We pray she will come to know Christ and have an impact on her family.
- We had the chance to spend two days at an indoor water park. It was an all school sponsored trip. Good memories together as a family.
I am teaching the teen Sunday School for Dec – Feb. I will be teaching Colossians 3 and Ephesians 5.
Resources we have available for churches, missions and ministries:
- CCLI reporting tool – to help with reporting your song usage
- Website creation
- Ministry promotional video creation
- Technical support
- Gospel tracts for duplication or online viewing
- Workshops and training seminars
- Technology coaching
Thank you to all of our monthly prayer and financial supporters. Dax asked me today on the way to school, “How do you get paid?”. It was a great opportunity for me to share your sacrifice and gift to the Lord to help us serve the Him with what He has called us to do. Please pray as we continue to look for more partners to help meet our financial needs for us personally and for the needs of techPartner.
