 Ministry Highlights
● Just recently we had new candidates join BCP to help plant and build churches. One of my objectives was to help them understand who techPartner is and how we can help them. I did several workshops on how to use technology for presenting their ministry along with tools we have to help them be successful in ministry. During these meetings the Administrative staff at BCP was here and I was asked to take some time and instruct them on how to use social media to get the word out about what God is doing at BCP. We spent time getting some of them ON Facebook, and more time showing them how to use it effectively, encouraging them to connect and share content from the BCP website www.bcpusa.org. We have helped Dr. Little with video blogs (little video clips about exciting news at BCP). He has done 7 of them, and you can see them on the website. Facebook is a great way to connect with BCP – go to www.facebook.org/bcpusa and “like” us and start sharing the news about the need and growth of church plants across North America.

What a Summer!

We have been helping many ministries, churches and missionaries create websites to help them use the web as a ministry tool.  One specific site we did was www.reachinghispanics.org for the Hispanic Ministry of BCP. This site is filled with resources to help people understand the need to reach out to Hispanics and give them helpful tools to do it.

GARBC conference
– technology is FUN!  We set up a “photo booth”, courtesy of Rich Craige Photography, where people could come get a fun memory photo print out.  Plus we set up a portrait studio where we helped over 20 couples, families or individuals with a ‘professional’ looking photo. The conference was a great time to connect with supporters and people we are currently helping.  We also started a partnership with one of the international pastors from Liberia and have already helped them with a website for
“Baptist Rural Mission of Liberia, Monrovia, West Africa”.
He wrote me and said this:

“You have made me the happiest person on earth because
of creating this website”

Family camp 2012
–Amy and I had to opportunity to help run the teen camp at BCP’s family camp this year at Faith Baptist Bible College.  There were around 22 teenagers, and we met during the main session, while their parents enjoyed good fellowship, music and preaching.

We studied the Beatitudes from Matthew 5, along with other things to help us be reminded of God’s desire for our lives.  We also had plenty of time to hang out and enjoy some fun together.  3D dodgeball was the main outing we took as a group.  This activity consisted of a large room totally covered from walls to floors with trampolines.  You can see a video created about this event at https://vimeo.com/46223045.  We also had the chance to sing together and learn a new song by Matt Redman called “10,000 Reasons”.  Concluding the week, the teens got up in front of the adults and taught them the song and sang it together with them.  I want to thank Luke Wilson, Kara Brown and Lauryn Brown for playing their instruments for this singing time.

Ministry Goal #1 = Equip

Tools are a necessary part of construction. Ministry is no different than that of building a house, you use tools. We want to help ministries, missions, church plants and internationals with tools that help them in their God given plans. Each situation is different and requires different tools personalized for their needs. That is why techPartner is providing technology tools and resources for outreach, discipleship, training, and general ministries (Video, Web, DVD, CD).
Recent activity and current projects:
  • Spanish Class – Pastor Talavera – “Basic Christianity” (8 sessions
  • Deaf ministry video resources – 5 different projects
  • Recorded and building DVDs of a seminar on Intentional Discipleship for Pilgrimage Ministries (8 sessions) – description: Understand how you are positioned intentionally for influence. Gain tools for generating meaningful conversations with others. Discover how to recognize experiences as God’s leading in other people’s lives
  • Currently working on 7 ministry websites – one completed recently was www. faitharizona.com (BCP church plant in Arizona)
  • Equipped several churches with DVD outreach tools
  • Created a variety of testimony videos for Breesport Baptist Church, Breesport, NY
  • Helped out in NY with annual Youth Seminar
  • Visited some of our supporting churches
  • Things we are working on:
  • Coordinating the BCP Family Camp Teen Ministry - Study Colossians 3 – creative video project to reinforce Col. 3 – to show at final night.
  • Northland International University has invited me to come talk with “geeks” in their technology track and discuss tech and ministry. We will be providing them with some opportunities to get involved with different projects.

Ministry Goal #2 = Support
Some months seem really productive while we crank out projects, while other months seem to fly by and you look back and say “what did I do this month.” Well February is one of those months that I look back and know that I was busy, but feel like not much got accomplish. One thing we noticed about this month was the amount of calls/emails we received from missionaries and churches asking for help. We call this ministry “technology coaching.” It is such a joy to help them and get them back focused on ministry stuff.

Tech Coaching – is helping step by step those in ministry to use technology effectively for the great commission. Have you ever thought, “There just has to be an easier way?" Well- the odds are there probably is. This is an area we work hard at, because helping and encouraging ministry partners is one of our passions. We look forward to emails, calls and one-on-one times where we get to help servants of God with many technology questions. With many different ministry experiences behind us, we have a good, clear direction in which we can help. We do not claim to know everything, but enough to be helpful in the many areas of technology in ministry today.
